La Châtaigne is a traditional 1840's farmhouse; which sleeps upto 6 people.  It is attached to our own house - so we are always around to ask if you need anything.

We are surrounded by oak and chestnut forests in the beautiful Viaur Valley on the edge of the peaceful, quaint  hamlet St. Dalmaze. The nearest town with amenities is Laguepie, which is 7 km away along a tranquil road that follows the river. This is a fantastic base from which to explore the diverse countryside and towns of the Midi-Pyrenees region of south west France with the famous medievel town of Najac being only a 15 minute drive away and Albi with it's famous cathedral is only a 40 minute drive away.

The gite is a newly renovated traditional French rural farmhouse with all the living space on one level.This gite sleeps 4-6 people with 2 comfortable, light bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and one bathroom. The spacious kitchen/dining area overlooks the back garden, an organic farm and has impressive views of the Viaur Valley. There is a homely lounge with the same superb views as from the kitchen with 2 sofas (which can also be 2 single beds).

 
 

 

 

La Châtaigne complex is surrounded by wooded and landscaped, private gardens where you can eat out, bar-b-que and relax, either in the sun or the shade. Due to the incredible climate of this region of France you can expect to be able to comfortably eat outside during the evenings right through October. So which ever package you go for - you will have ample outdoor space to do as you please. Both gites have independent entrances and ample parking.

A £135 non-refundable deposit will be paid into an English bank account (the appropriate details are on the booking form that will be emailed to you when requested). This payment will confirm your reservation.

 

 

The balance will then be paid in full into the appropriate account 1 month before the date of your reservation.

 

 

 

A cheque of £200 is required on your arrival which will act as a 'breakages-deposit'. This will be returned to you via the post once the gite/s has been checked.

  • A cot and highchair can be provided on request
  • Pets accepted. Smoking is not permitted in the building.
